Yeah I'd say 2.5 assuming everything's there & attached. On tired old books like that I'd check the page #'s in the middle to make sure the centerfold is still there.

This is one of my better books. It isn't a Gold or Silver age book but it is a late bronze age.

It's very hard to grade a book with the edges of the scan cut.You need back cover scans as well as front cover out of the mylar sleeve.

Trying to redeem myself from last time. This is Batman #243 Here is the front back and first page. I think it is a 2.0.

I'll brighten your day a little bit & bump that to a 2.5. Certainly worn but a little better than a basic reader.

Hey all, just picked this up today. I would say it's in VF condition but for the pen marks (the "D" in the upper corner and the mark on near the bottom center) on the back cover. What say you all?

I traded a bunch of my books for it, valued at $200.

Looks like a good deal, that book fetches over guide. Being white like that is a pretty huge plus. Some people definitely don't like writing but my Overstreet actually shows pen marks that size up to 9.0. I'd be hesitant to assign a grade without holding it to a light but from this angle it looks more like an 8.5, I'm guessing that's just a little scuff there by the top staple.

I picked this up recently and would like your opinion as best as you can from these scans. The front cover has a couple of chips on the right near the top, minor chipping along the top, some wear marks along the spine near the bottom and some creasing of the spine but otherwise pretty clean with good color. The back cover has a little rust on the top staple, a weird looking dent type of mark along the left side about a quarter way from the bottom but is clean with good color. The interior pages are complete with sharp edges and corners and a light tan in color.

Always hard to tell from a picture but it looks to be in the VG to FN range with FN being the high end but quite possible.

The following stores are all stores that I've dealt with or have become friends with through the forums and I highly recommend them all.
Comics Castle-AKA Pat McCauslin
Alpha Comics--ComicVortex--Comic Cellar--Hall of Heroes--Swifty's Olde Tyme Comic Shoppe

I would go middle of the road at VG+ - what do the pages on the inside look like?

I'm feeling REALLY lazy so instead of doing the research I'll ask here.

What would a Avengers 55 in F- Condition grade for and be worth with an intact detached cover, loose at staples.....ballpark figure....

If I don't have what you need, please check out these other great CCL Stores;
BlueMoon Comics, ComicVortex,The Goblin's Cavern, Manhattan on Mars, Edgewood Comics,Hall of Heroes

An otherwise NM book with a staple that went extra wide and didn't go through all the pages on one side. What's the grade? What's the price on an other $50 book?

Printing defects like this I grade on the low end 9.0 (VF/NM). On the other hand, I've never really seen a defect like this. I could see going as low as 8.5 (VF+).
